THE BRAVADE

The Bravades of Saint-Tropez are an iconic traditional celebration held every year on May 16, 17, and 18. In 2025, the festivities will extend from Thursday, May 15 to Sunday, May 18.

🎉 A Centuries-Old Tradition

The Bravades commemorate the devotion of the people of Saint-Tropez to their patron saint, Saint Torpes, as well as their proud military heritage. For three days, the town comes alive with processions, musket fire, parades in period costumes, and religious ceremonies. Participants, known as "bravadeurs", march in traditional uniforms to pay tribute to the town's history and traditions.

📅 2025 Program

• Thursday, May 15:
  Opening ceremonies and initial processions.
• Friday, May 16:
  Handover of the Pike to the Town Captain, blessing of the weapons, and processions.
• Saturday, May 17:
  Musketeers' Mass and major processions through the streets of Saint-Tropez.
• Sunday, May 18:
  Closing of the Bravades with the traditional Bravades Regatta at 11 a.m., organized by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez.
